Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque

This stunning abbey and the surrounding regions of Aix-en-Provence and Valensole had been on my bucket list for years for their famous lavender blooms. Being able to catch the end of the season and take in both the sights and smells were a real highlight of this summer's trip.

All paintings from this plein air study are 9in x 12in and unframed. Most were painted on oil paper, but some on canvas boards, and all will be signed and varnished.
